The Calhoun High School Academic Quiz team will compete in the Piedmont College/Alpha Lambda Delta quiz bowl on Saturday, February 18 in Demorest, Georgia.  This trip marks the second competition for the CHS team. In January, CHS competed in the UGA Quizdawg Tournament at Cedar Shoals High School in Athens.  The Piedmont bowl will serve as a qualifier for the National Academic Quiz Team event to be held in Chicago in June.  CHS will also travel to the Georgia Academic Team Association state AA finals in Cochran on March 4.  The top four teams in the AA competition at Cochran will earn a berth in the national finals and all students in Chicago will be interviewed by the producers of JEOPARDY for auditions for the televised game show.
