Lady Jackets celebrate their Tournment win and perfect season.
CMS's Softball Team won the Bartow-Gordon Middle School Athletic Association (BGMSAA) League Championship for the 2nd consecutive year, as well as going undefeated with a perfect 7-0 record. The team was anchored by four eighth graders: Left Field-Macy Walraven, Center Field-Morgan Stewart, 3rd Base-Morgan Hill and 2nd Base-Danielle Phillips. The rookie of the team is starting pitcher Alyssa Shawgo. Who took the mound as the lone starting sixth grader but has pitched every game and help lead the team to four shutout games. Other starts include: Catcher-Eady Beth Connelly, 1st Base-Bree Walraven, Short Stop-Carly Curtis and Right Field-Morgan Allen.
The CMS Lady Jackets hosted the BGMSAA's region tournament the weekend of October 6th and swept the tournament by beating Woodland in a nail biting final game. The CMS lady jackets can claim a PERFECT SEASON for this year. The lady jackets are coached by: Kippi Waldon and assistant coach Jessica Guess.
