MySpace, FaceBook, and online child predators… What’s it all about? What can I do to keep my family safe from internet dangers?
Georgia Family Council (GFC) is coming to Calhoun City Schools on Thursday, November 15 at the Calhoun Elementary School cafeteria from 6:30 - 8:30; to answer these questions and more in a parent seminar called "Play it Safe."
GFC’s seminar will provide the following:
The basis for understanding the online environment most often frequented by children and teens
An understanding of the dangers presented by internet – dangers that may shock many
Practical, current information that will empower parents to set guidelines and ensure their children’s safety while online
Tips for parents to use Play it Safe to grow closer to their kids
We all know the internet is a powerful medium for education and research. The technology is here to stay, so moms and dads need to be equipped to use this resource wisely and train their children to navigate the online world with wisdom and discretion.
Through the Play it Safe seminar, Georgia Family Council will help close the information gap so parents feel informed and empowered to lead their families in this important area.
Please join us Thursday, November 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Calhoun Elementary School Cafeteria.
