After a long day that seemed to drag on and on (9 am until 9:30 pm roughly) our young men proved where their hearts were. The Wrestling Team got 1^st at the Junior Tiger Invitational on Saturday, December 15th. Out of fourteen area teams, Calhoun placed 1st with 217 points followed by Cass with 175, Woodland with 167.5 and Adairsville with 148.5 points.  Other Teams included Chattooga, Sonoraville, Cartersville, Pepperell, Rome, Unity Christian, Darlington, Coosa, and Cedartown. Calhoun had 15 individual medalists out of 18 weight classes.
Individual Champions included: Ross Callahan, Jackson Jones, Logan Knight and Hunter Johnson
Placing 2^nd were : Austin Kirby, Corey Greeson, Josh Powell and Jorge Vega
Placing 3^rd were: Preston Edwards, Donnell Anthony and Tony Hernandez
Placing 4^th were : Brandon Clark, Cohen Garland, Jake Baker and Ruben Sanchez
             
     On the previous weekend, CMS’s Wrestling Team won 1^st at the Little Devil Invitational for the second straight year. Out of nine area teams, Calhoun placed 1st with 270.5 points followed by Adairsville in second with 207 points. Calhoun had 17 individual medalists out of 19 weight classes.

Placing 2^nd  were : Ross Callahan, Eduardo Cabrera, Chandler Quinn, Josh Armas and Cole Brindle
Placing 3^rd was Jake Baker
Placing 4th  were : Dustin Chapman and Tony Hernandez
     The Wrestling Team will compete Tuesday (12/18) in the High School Gym against Cartersville and Chattooga. Start time is set for 4:30. The High School will also be in action that night. this is a great opportunity to see and support these outstanding CMS and CHS athletes.
