The Calhoun Middle School Boys golf team joined the ladies team as region champs at the Bartow/Gordon Middle School Athletic Assoc. (B.G.M.S.A.A) region tournament Thursday at Field’s Ferry Golf Course. The Jackets defended their crown as well as they won by 19 strokes over the closet competition by firing an impressive team score of　192. The second place team of Sonoraville was 19 strokes back at 211, followed by Ashworth at 212 and Cass at 215. The four counting scores for the jackets were Chandler Clements, Brody Henderson, KJ Sturkey, and Caleb Hayes, all posting extraordinary rounds of 48, which was good enough for 3^rd place individually. 8^th grader Dawson Boswell, who was often the jackets low scorer during the season, followed close behind with a round of 51. Ashworth’s Branton Bailey had the low round of the day with a 45. The Jacket golfers finished the year with an awesome record of 18-1 this season and 42-1 including last season!

Coach Gresham would like to state he is extremely proud of the guys and congratulate them on another championship season and for the departing 8^th grade men an impressive record during their three years.!
