| We have had a wonderful start to this new school year. You may have seen our banners or read
our shirts that express our expectation for success. High standards and expectations for success are hallmarks of Calhoun City Schools. We have been successful in the past and we fully expect the future to be bright with new successes.
I am proud to serve as the principal of a school where we have met the state criteria for adequate yearly progress (AYP) for seven consecutive years. That has helped to earn our school the status of a Georgia Title 1 Distinguished School.
While past successes make us proud, we do not choose to rest in their glow. Instead, we continue to seek ways to continue to improve. We are determined to reach higher levels of success, even in a time when resources are sometimes scarce.
Our school is grateful that we enjoy such a supportive embrace from our community. The partnership we share with our parents is one of our greatest assets. We welcome the participation of our parents who want to help us achieve success. We count it a privilege to serve the needs of every boy and girl who attend
our school each day. We will work hard to earn and deserve your confidence. |
