Meet Dr. Griffith
My name is Michelle Griffith and I serve Calhoun City Schools as the Director of Human Resources and Community Education. This is my 18th year in education, 13th year in CCS, and 3rd year in my current position with CCS. I am married to Tom Griffith, a teacher at CHS, and we have a son, Adam, who is a senior at CHS. As a graduate of Calhoun High School, I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence in my role by supporting the students, teachers, parents, and community members associated with CCS. After graduating from Berry College with mathematics degree and psychology minor, I entered the education profession at CHS teaching mathematics. I pursued my Master’s at the University of West Georgia, my Specialist at Lincoln Memorial University, and my Doctorate at Liberty University. I love the outdoors and being active – mountain biking, running, and skiing are a few of my interests. During my ten year stint at CHS, I coached girls basketball, swimming, and boys/girls tennis and served as the IB program coordinator before moving into a leadership position outside of the classroom. I am passionate about education appreciate the opportunity to serve in a role at my alma mater.
