Meet Mrs. Kiker
Hello!  My name is Kimberly Kiker and I am your School Nutrition Director.  This is my fifth year with Calhoun City Schools;   however I have almost twenty years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.  I am a 1993 graduate of The University of Georgia with a Degree in Dietetics and Institution Management and I received my Masters in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University in 2009.  I am currently active in several organizations that promote School Nutrition such as the National School Nutrition Association, Georgia School Nutrition Association and the Georgia Nutrition Council.  I currently serve as the Chair of the Georgia Education Cooperative.  The GEC is a purchasing cooperative made up of 44 school systems that purchase together to obtain the highest quality of nutritious foods at the most reasonable prices for the students that we serve.  I currently also serve on the Advisory Committee to our State Director of Nutrition, Ms. Nancy Rice.   This position serves as a liaison to all Directors of North Georgia, to be their voice within the Department of Education’s School Nutrition Program.   I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to come to work each and every day in an environment that supports the efforts of the School Nutrition Program.  Our primary focus in School Nutrition is to serve the boys and girls of Calhoun City Schools a nutritious meal every day that will promote learning and retention within the instructional environment.  I am always available to all of our staff, students and families as a resource for anything you need from me as a Registered Dietitian.  Please feel free to call me with any questions or concerns that you may have from me (706) 602-6613.
