Meet Ms. Carpenter
I grew up in LaFayette, Georgia then attended and graduated from North Georgia College.  I have a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education  and a Specialist’s degree in Teaching from Piedmont College. I am also certified in teaching art and gifted.  This is my 16th year with Calhoun City Schools and my 26th year teaching.  Calhoun has been my home for 20 years.  I have two children, Morgan, 19, a sophomore at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, and Will, 16, a junior at CHS.  GO JACKETS!!!

Communication is the key to keeping a great relationship between school and home, so please feel free to call or contact me through a note, phone call, or email.

Parent volunteers are welcome and encouraged in my classroom, so please let me know when you can volunteer.

Class Introduction
I am excited to be teaching 5th grade Reading, Language Arts, and Writing this year.  I enjoy modeling my love for reading and writing and look forward to guiding a new group of 5th graders as we adventure through the GPS for these subjects.  Connecting reading, writing, and Social Studies is a great way to learn the subjects, so get ready for a literary trip through American history from the Civil War to today.
