Calhoun City Schools Welcomes New Board Member
Matt Barton has been named as the newest member to the Calhoun City School Board. Mr. Barton is a graduate of Gordon Central High School. His wife Lynn teaches at Calhoun Elementary School and was recently named Calhoun Elementary School's Teacher of the Year for 2009. Matt and Lynn have two children who attend Calhoun City Schools. Kathryn is a fifth grader and Leslie is a third grade student. Mr. Barton has been self employed for the past fourteen years and his mom is a recently retired school teacher. "I want to continue the tradition of excellence that the Calhoun City Schools have had in the past, and make our schools an example for other school systems," Mr. Barton has shared. Again, we welcome Mr. Barton as a member of our team.
