2013-2014 Teacher of the Year:
Ms. Crystal Price
Calhoun Middle School is proud to have Crystal Price as the 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year. The Teacher of the Year recognition is unique as it is a selection by her peers. Teachers nominate one of their own to represent the school in which they teach. These are some of the things Crystal's colleagues shared: "She is always flexible, easy-going, and always ready and willing to help others. She is very knowledgeable and continues to strive for excellence in all she does. Crystal never complains and is an all-around great teacher!"; "Crystal is very organized, polite, eager to help and puts forth effort in making her team and grade level feel needed and special. She works hard to encourage all her students to be the best that they can be in all areas of their life. She is always positive, even when facing a negative situation."
Pictured below, Principal Michelle Frix Knight presented Crystal with a sign acknowledging her new title and shared, "Each of the teachers nominated for CMS Teacher of the Year are outstanding representatives of our school and of our system. We are delighted that Crystal will move on to represent CMS at the system level. She is a strong candidate in every fashion and will carry the CMS banner with pride. An extremely deserving individual, Crystal dedicates herself to her students and their personal and academic achievement. She is a model teacher and a Jacket to the core. From coaching cheerleading, sponsoring our spirit club and teaching in the classroom, Crystal is a cheerleader for each and every one of our students."
