Welcome to the home of the Calhoun Middle School Tennis Team. The Calhoun Middle School Tennis Teams are proud to be entering the 2012-2013 season having won 8 out of the 10 region championships at last year’s region tournament. While producing championships is one goal, the second goal is to develop good sportsmanship both on and off the court. We have an excellent core of returning players for the 2012-2013 season, but we will also have some slots to fill. We will have our tryouts the first week of February. Check back for the exact dates. The Calhoun Middle School Tennis Team is coached by Coach Steven Waters.

 

 

  • The Calhoun Middle School Tennis Team opened the season with a victory at Ashworth. Calhoun swept all singles and doubles matches against the upstart Warriors. Winning in singles were Marlee Nichelson, Maddie Crump, Maggie Cochran, Kade Wright, Hunter Norman, and Aaron Lively. On the doubles courts the number one doubles teams of Mary Grace Dudley and Neeley Abernathy won as did Junior Waters and Chris Talley. The number two teams of Callie Dobson and Sammie Bramlett and Cameron LaBeouf and Jackson Smith were also winners. Great start to the season and also a big congratuations to Ashworth for their first ever Middle School Tennis match.
