Our Counselor: Jimmie Goswick
My name is Jimmie Goswick and I am currently serving as the counselor at Calhoun Elementary School. The last five years, I have worked at Calhoun Middle School as counselor. Before working at CMS, I began the elementary counseling program at Murray County School System. Prior to working at Murray Co, I taught sixth grade for Dalton Public Schools.  My role as counselor at CES is to implement the elementary guidance curriculum by teaching in the classroom and conducting small groups. The curriculum is developmental. Some topics include; conflict resolution, problem solving, and developing effective study habits. I am also available for individual student counseling. I also consult with both parents and teachers to find solutions to help with students who might be struggling with inappropriate behaviors that are interfering with school success. I am looking forward to working with our students this year.
