As a media center paraprofessional my first responsibility is to be available for the students and staff, to check books in and out and to help them with the selection of books and /or reference materials. There are many behind-the-scenes tasks that I am responsible for, some of which are: repairing books, helping with the processing of new books, entering new students/deleting withdrawing students from Surpass, accelerated reader dog tags, and any other tasks that come up that need to be done. It is a very rewarding job and I enjoy working with the wonderful staff of both the Elementary and Primary Schools.
