My name is Jaime Ralston Garrett and I am honored to be serving the students of Calhoun Primary and Calhoun Elementary as their Library Media Specialist. I am a proud product of Calhoun City Schools and know first hand what a great school system we are a part of. I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree from Kennesaw State University in 2002. I began teaching 4th Grade at Calhoun Elementary that year. I furthered my education by earning my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University in 2005, and a Specialists Degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University in 2006. My career path changed in 2007 when I moved from the 4th Grade classroom to the role of Library Media Specialist at Calhoun Primary and Calhoun Elementary. Since then, I have earned my Library Media Certification through the University of West Georgia. I am honored to recently be selected as the CES Teacher for the Year for 2012-13. In addition to my teaching duties and Calhoun Primary and Calhoun Elementary, I also coach the Calhoun High School JV Football Cheerleaders and the Calhoun High School Varsity Basketball Cheerleaders. Go Jackets! I am married to Dan Garrett, and we have an American Bulldog named Patch.
