Meet Mrs. Kendrick
Ms. Kendrick has worked as an educator since 1993.  During this time she has taught first, third, fifth and sixth grades.  In addition to teaching regular education classes, she also taught gifted resource (K-5th grades) for six years.

She completed her Bachelor of Science in Education through West Georgia College.  She continued her education and earned a Master of Education from Brenau University.  She returned to the State University of West Georgia to complete her Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Ms. Kendrick then earned her Gifted Endorsement through Northwest Georgia RESA.  In the spring of 2010 she completed the requirements for a Leadership Endorsement program at the State University of West Georgia.

Ms. Kendrick and her husband, Alan, have two sons who attend Calhoun City Schools.  You will often times see the Kendricks at the gym or the ball field or at a debate tournament watching their sons compete.

Class Introduction
Ms. Kendrick’s role at CES is critical to the success of our students.  She helps teachers effectively assess students’ needs for academic interventions based on the needs of students.  She also helps arrange for the professional development opportunities to keep our staff on the cutting edge of best practices in the classroom.  Everything Ms. Kendrick does is related to enhancing student achievement.  Below is a short list of the kinds of things that Ms. Kendrick handles on a daily basis:

- Coordinates our school’s Response to Intervention (RTI) program
- Conducts professional development sessions for our staff
- Facilitates the universal screening for monitoring the progress of students and the effectiveness of interventions
- Monitors the SST process
- Assists with hospital homebound arrangements
- Helps with 504 plans
- Assists teachers with student portfolios
- Assists teachers with curriculum development
- Assists teachers with new student files
