Meet Mrs. Hughes
My name is Mrs. Greta Hughes, and I am the Graphic Communication and Video Production teacher at CHS.  This is my eleventh year in education, and my second as a teacher at Calhoun High School.  I am a product of Berry College where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  I pursued my Master's in Education at Brenau University, with a specialization in Reading.  After several years as a teacher at Calhoun Primary School, I went back to school to get my Educational Specialist degree, from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, in Educational Technology. I served as Instructional Technology Coach for schools in the system for 3 years prior to coming to CHS.  I am a product of Calhoun City Schools and proud to be a Yellow Jacket!

Class Introduction
I currently teach classes in the CTAE department for the Video Production and Graphic Communication Career Pathways. In the Video Production Pathway, students learn about the basics of operating video equipment both personal and in a studio setting. They also learn how to edit videos and create live productions. In the Graphic Communication Pathway, students learn the ins and outs of the Graphic Design industry. They will design various materials for the school and local businesses, as well as learn how to use Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and other career related software.  I have shared a variety of links in the module below and will also post announcements and important dates as they arise.  I look forward to a great year.
