Hello! I’m so excited about the new year before us. Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Calhoun Georgia. I graduated from Calhoun High School in 1989. My father was a teacher and coach for 38 years, so I feel I came by teaching honestly. I’m married to a fireman from Dalton named Douglas Kerns. We reside in Chatsworth, Georgia and have three cats, P.J. , Peewee, and Alex. I am a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a bachelor of science in teaching, and Piedmont College with my master’s and specialist degrees. I have been teaching for thirteen years. Two of those years were spent in kindergarten and the other eleven have been in second grade. I love teaching little children, and I love what they teach me. I look forward to a wonderful, fun-filled year with you and your child in second grade.
