I’d like to tell you a little about myself. My name is Jennifer Hayes. I grew up in Calhoun and attended Calhoun City Schools for the majority of my childhood. I graduated from Shorter University in December of 1997, and my husband and I welcomed our first son into the world four days later. After spending some time at home with my son I spent time experiencing many grades doing long-term sub jobs at Garden Lakes Elementary in Rome, Georgia and working at Sylvan Learning Center. I then taught 1st grade for two years at Excel Christian Academy in Cartersville, Ga. This is my tenth year at CPS.
I have a wonderful husband of 15 years who teaches Science and Coaches golf at Gordon Central High School. We have two handsome boys, Caleb who is 13 and in the 8th grade at CMS, Aaron who is 10 and will be in 5th grade at CES, and a beautiful little girl named Anna Kathryn who will turn 7 in September and will be in first grade this year!
