Meet Mr. Gresham
Hello!  My name is Mr. Roger Gresham, and I have the distinct pleasure of serving as your child's teacher this school year.  This is my sixteenth year in education, all of which, have involved teaching science at the high school level.  This marks my seventh year as a teacher at Calhoun High School, where I am also a proud graduate of the Class of 1989.   I continued my education as a graduate of Jacksonville State University in Alabama where I received a B.S degree in Biology.  After pursuing a career in the medical field, I became keenly aware that my calling was that of a classroom teacher.  I pursued these ambitions in education at Shorter College in Rome, where I became certified to teach broad field science in grades 7-12. I eventually continued my education experience through Lesley University and obtained a masters degree in Technology in Education.  I am married to my beautiful wife, Candi, and we have three awesome children:  a daughter Hannah, 11 years old at CMS; and sons Taylor age 9 and Haggan age 6 who are both at Belwood Elementary, where my wife has taught for 15 years. Also, I will again serve as the head middle school golf coach at CMS in the fall and assistant golf coach at CHS in the spring.  Me and my family are dedicated to our wonderful place of worship, Haven of Rest Baptist Church.  I love playing golf and other sports and spending time with my family outdoors as well.  I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my knowledge with your child.  I am excited about the coming school year, and  I encourage you to contact me at your convenience to discuss your child's education.

Class Introduction
I am proud to be teaching 10th grade physical science this year as we will be dividing our study into two branches: Chemistry which is the science of matter and its changes and Physics, which is the science of forces and energy.  The fall semester will primarily focus on Chemistry and the spring semester primarily on Physics as we strive toward excelling on the End of Course Test later in the spring given by the State of Georgia.  I look forward to a great year together as we explore the many fascinating wonders of physical science.
