The goal of Earth Science is to provide students with a broad overview and understanding of our dynamic earth. Students will actively explore the various earth processes and human impacts on the earth. Students will also learn metric measurement and scientific inquiry skills. Specific topics of we will study include water, rocks and minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, the solar system, weather, and many others. The curriculum will be directed and guided by the Georgia Performance Standards and by the Calhoun Middle School science department. My Earth Science class is filled with hands-on learning and is project based. I understand that students have very different learning styles and interests. I work very hard to make sure all students feel success and work to gain interest in the various topics we cover. We are going to have a blast learning about Earth Science this year!
