Hello! My name is Paula Gunter. I am an inclusion special education teacher at Calhoun Middle School. As a graduate of Calhoun High School, it is easy to feel an extra sense of pride to work in such a wonderful school system. I teach two 8th grade math classes with Kelli Fowler and two science classes with Brandi Kemp. I look forward to a wonderful school year.
I attended the University of Georgia where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sport Science. After working several years in a hospital-based wellness facility, I received my special education certificate from the University of Georgia’s setweb program. I have taught four years in special education and five years in 7th grade life science. I received a masters in literacy from the University of New England and am currently working on my specialist degree through Piedmont college.
I am married to Mike Gunter. He is also a special education teacher in Bartow County. My son, Bradley Weaver, is a freshman at Calhoun High School.
