CMS Wrestlers competed in the BGMSAA Region Traditional Tournaments this weekend at Cass Middle School. In the JVB Tournament we were led by 10 kids who placed and received medals. They were, placing first, Zach Smith, Bryce Bakken, Brice Craig, Jake Fricks, and Rhett Rogers. In second place was Cullen Glaze. In third place was Patrick Box and Lex Bennett, and in fourth place was Danerian (Pee Wee) Dixon and Matthew Jones.

In the varsity we did very well. Even though we were missing 5 weight classes (3 to illness and 2 to forfeit) we placed 4^th overall and were only 8 points out of 3^rd place. We had 13 wrestlers compete and 12 of them received medals.Our first place finishers were Christian East and Brandon Miller. Our Second place finishers were Jacob Callahan, Taylor Stephens, Easton Trotter, and Eduardo Aguilar. All of wrestlers in the 3^rd and 4^th place matches won 3^rd place. They were William Roblero, Aaron Aguirre, Abraham Pacheco, Skyler West, Mauro Palma, and Isaac Garcia. 

Eduardo Aguilar was involved in the match that was voted “best Match” in the entire tournament. He wrested in the 215 final against the Sonoraville wrestler.  Even though Eduardo lost it was one of the best matches I have ever seen. It came down last few seconds. Eduardo was down by two points and had to try something and the Sonoraville wrestler countered his move very well and ended up winning.12-8.
