Circle unit continued
By Susan @ 2:18 PM :: 170 Views :: 0 Comments

We are in the middle of our circle unit.  We now know that there is a relationship between the diameter of a circle and the circumference of the same circle.  We learned that no matter what the size of the circle the circumference will always be a little more than 3 of the diameters. We use 3.14 or pi to represent how many diameters we use.

The formula is C = pi × diameter

Now that we know circumference we will move on to area of a circle.
