Hello, My name is Tonya Sexton I am currently a kindergaten parapro at Calhoun Primary School. I have worked in kindergarten with Mrs. Pam Edwards in room 1229 on the green hallway for five years. I will be in her classrom the 2011-2012 school year from Aug. 8 - Aug. 19. I will be going to Swain Elementary Aug. 22 - Dec. 9 to perform my student teaching in 5th grade. I am currently a full time student at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga. I will graduate with my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education December 2011. I am looking forward to returning to Mrs. Edwards classroom on Dec. 12 to be reunited with our students to finish out the remainder of the school year.
I am married to Daryl Sexton, I have three children; my stepdaughter is Tori Sexton 18 years old, she will be attending Chattanooga State College this Fall on a Basketball scholarship, my oldest son is Cody McCormack 17 years old and attends Gordon Central High School as a senior this year, he plays football and basketball. My youngest son is Dayne Sexton 8 years old and attends Red Bud Elementary in the third grade, he is also a basketball player.
My goal is to be the best teacher I can be for all students. With a combination of learning and caring we are sure to succeed.
