Boys and girls golf teams dominate

The boys and girls golf teams have continued their domination this past week. The boys are now 19-0 and the girls are 17-0 on the season. Last Friday at the Elks Club in Calhoun the boys golf team defeated Ashworth 189 to 199. Leading the way for the jackets was low medalist Hunter Rasbury with a sizzling round of 39 followed by Griffin Bramblett's 46, Elijah West's 51 and Chandler Clements' 53. The lady jacket golfers cruised to victory Friday in a four-way match with a team score of 91 followed by Ashworth's 128, Adairsville's 134 and Cass' 143. 6th grader low medalist Dallas Vaughn led the way with an awesome round of 39 followed by Kirsten Davis and Sia Smith's.

Calhoun Boys were also victorious at Cartersville Country Club Monday leading the 4-team pack with a score of 224, followed by Cartersville's 228, Adairsville's 257 and Sonoraville's 268. Hunter Rasbury was again the low medalist on the day with a fine round of 41. The lady jackets were also victorious on the day with a team score of 98, followed by Adairsville's 131, Cartersville's 134, and Sonoraville's 140. The lady jackets were led again by Dallas Vaughn's excellent round of 45 and Kaitlyn Smith's 53.

Calhoun's 7th grade boys golf team beat Ashworth's JV boys Tuesday at the Calhoun Elks Club 196 to 246. The Jackets were led by Brody Henderson and Logan Walraven's 47 and Chandler Clements' and Dawson Boswell's 51. 7th grade lady jacket Amber Parker competed in her first match individually and shot a nice round of 62.
