Calhoun Middle School Lady Jackets softball team once again won the region championship. Having won for 3 years in a row, the 8th grade girls leave Calhoun Middle with a feeling of accomplishment. Alyssa Shawgo went 29 - 0. Meaning she pitched 3 perfect seasons. Wimberly Roe hit Calhoun Middle's first homerun in the game against Cass Middle School. (10-2) Katelyn James came up right behind and also hit one out. She hit out another one in the game against Ashworth Middle School. (10-0) Unfortunately, the girls lost their 2 year winning steak, but fortunately didn't lose the winning championship. The girls worked long and hard for these wins, proving that hard work brings success.
