• Northwest Region Technology Competition will be held January 30, 2026 at Georgia Highlands College: 3175 Cedartown Hwy SE Rome, GA

• The Awards Ceremony will be at 2:00 pm in the Physical Ed/Gym building.

• Judge Times: For your reference, judge times have been assigned. Click here to view judge times. Students must be logged into their ccsjackets google account to access.

• Additional Activities: In addition to the competition, students will have the opportunity to participate in the following activities:

• Movie Room (open from 9:00 - 11:00) - movie TBD

• Van de Graaff generator demonstrations (every 30 minutes)

• Guided Tours of the GHC Media and Innovation Center (MIC)

• GHC Gaming Club presentation

• Learn more about AI with GHC’s own Leonard Hall

• Concessions will be available to purchase in the morning (please bring cash if purchasing snacks)

1/29/26: Reminders for the Region Technology Competition:

Meeting Location & Time

• All students will meet at Calhoun High School Friday, 1/30/26 at 7:00 a.m., at the CHS main entrance.

• Drop-Off Instructions
  Please pull into an open parking space in the Calhoun High School parking lot. A chaperone will meet students at the CHS main entrance.

What to Wear/Bring

• Wear or bring your CCS Tech Competition t-shirt

• Students should have everything needed to present their projects: computer/equipment; files, power cord, etc.

  • CPS & CES students using school chromebooks: You will get your chromebook when we arrive to competition.

• Lunch Reminder: Please bring lunch or money for the Georgia Highlands Cafeteria. Chick-fil-A will be delivered for students who preordered a Chick-fil-A Box.

• Concessions will be available for students to purchase with cash only. We will also have a few snacks as well.

Agenda for the Day

• 7:00 a.m. – Arrive at Calhoun High School

• 8:00 a.m. – Registration begins

• 9:00 a.m. – Project judging begins

• 1:30 p.m. – Group picture in the Gym (with CCS Tech Competition t-shirt on)

• 2:00 p.m. – Awards ceremony begins (in the Physical Ed/Gym building, see map above)

• 3:30–4:00 p.m. – Drop-off at Calhoun High School

Sign out/Return information

• We will have clipboards available for parents to sign out their students upon arrival for the awards ceremony. Please see a CCS Chaperone.

• Students riding the bus after the ceremony maybe picked up from Calhoun High School. The return time is approximately 3:30-4:00 pm. A chaperone will remain with the students at the main entrance of Calhoun High School until all students have been picked up. Student drivers will be released upon arrival.
