CMS 6th grader, Megan Cochran, won the Covered Bridge Run.

Megen Cochran not only won, but she finished only 16 seconds off the course record.  Pretty good for her first run ever!
The Varsity teams placed third, and the JV teams placed 4th and 6th.  There were over 400 runners in this race.  Grant Quist, Bates Hagood, and Corey Greeson placed in the top 20 and received medals in the boy’s varsity.  Megen Cochran received an individual trophy for first, Payton Smith finished 15th, and Carrie Cheeks finished 20th for medals.  The JV boys receiving medals were Andrew Haynes and Tyler Crawley.
If you see ANY students who ran on Saturday, please give them an encouraging word.  These athletes work hard but receive little credit for their dedication.  If you have a chance, please come out and support the cross country team.  Our parents are usually the only cheering section our runners have, and it would mean the world to these students to have a real cheering section. read more
