Congratulations to Calhoun Primary School!
Usually the school most affected by illness, they have pulled off winning Perfect Attendance Day with a 97.6% attendance rate. They tied with CES last year for Perfect Attendance Day. CPS will be celebrating with an ice cream party (thanks to Nutrition Director Kim Kiker) sponsored by Mayfield Dairy in the next few weeks and receiving the 2008 Vernal Equinox award. CPS was followed closely by CMS at 97.5; CES had 96.7% and CHS had 93.8%. CHS receives "honorable mention" for the most creative effort in helping get their students to school. Way to go everyone.
Calhoun City Schools also sweeps this month's attendance bowl as well! Even with all the sickness going around, the city schools managed to sweep the attendance bowls for the month of February. A special congratulation goes to CPS for their first win of the year. They tied with CES with 95.7%. CMS was the leader with 96.3%. And CHS beat out SHS with 94.4. Way to go everyone!
