The Calhoun City Schools' '08-'09 Teachers of the Year were honored with a reception at the Depot before the regularly scheduled September Board of Education meeting.  During the meeting each TOTY was recognized and received a gift from Superintendent Dr. Michele Taylor.
   Calhoun Primary School's Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Carol Grooms.  Mrs. Grooms was also selected as the CCS System Teacher of theYear.

   Calhoun Elementary School chose Mrs. Lynne Barton as its Teacher of the Year.

   Calhoun High School's faculty selected Michael Hillman as its 08-09 Teacher of the Year.

   The TOTY's will be in this year's Homecomining Parade.  The 2009-2010 Teachers of the Year will be introduced at the Homecoming pre game activities and the Calhoun City School System Teacher of the Year for '09-'10 will be announced.
