Calhoun High School was recently selected to receive support from the Professional Association of Georgia Educators. P.A.G.E. is committed to providing learning opportunities for high school educators. They will work in conjunction with the Schlechty Center for Leadership in School Reform by creating a framework in which leaders and staff will be collaboratively engaged in creating meaningful work for students which will result in increased student achievement.
The goal of the high school initiative is to provide quality professional experiences for high school educators; to provide educators with processes and strategies for systemic and continuous change; to improve student achievement and high school graduation rates; and to build capacity in the school's faculty as well as stakeholders. Mrs. Westmoreland and her team of teachers are anxious to begin their collaborative work with P.A.G.E. as we continue our focus on student learning and achieving.
P.A.G.E. is sponsoring teams by providing participants with all inclusive funds for conference registration, lodging, and travel expenses. "Calhoun High School is appreciative of the amazing support provided by P.A.G.E," states Wanda Westmoreland, principal.
