Election Day the Calhouon Middle School Way

Calhoun Middle School students participated in a mock Presidential election on Tuesday, November 4—election day. Everyone was informed of the political views of both the Democratic and Republican parties with a debate on our Jacket Jive television program that covered the issues of education, defense, health care, economy, and taxes. The following students participated in educating our student body on these issues:

Calhoun Middle School students wait in line to cast their vote for President of the United States on the computer in the school’s media center. The students had to register to vote earlier and then presented their voter registration card which gave them the right to vote. The election results at CMS gave victory to John McCain with 273 votes to Barrack Obama’s total of 255 votes.
