The School Social Worker of the Year Award is given to a fellow School Social Worker who is an active member of the School Social Workers Association of Georgia, Inc. at the District and State level. There are over 600 certified School Social Workers across the state. This individual's service has been judged as exemplary. Each of the twelve districts has the opportunity to enter a candidate for this award. The nominees are rated in the following categories:
1) Professional Preparation and Membership
2) School Social Work Experience
3) School Social Work Contributions
4) Civic Contributions
5) Philosophy of Education
Amanda will be recognized at the Spring SSWAG Conference in March and presented with this prestigious award. Calhoun City Schools would like to thank Mrs. Schutz for her tireless efforts to provide an outstanding support program for students in our schools and community.
