    Coach Charles Todd

    For 16 seasons, Dalton High School’s boys and girls swimming and diving teams had one head coach — Charles Todd. Todd has taught swimmers for more than three decades.  In addition to his roles as a teacher and the coach of the system’s swim programs, Todd also is the water polo coach and has coached football as well. Those duties are in addition to being the director of the CCAC and the Dalton Dolphins. Todd was named the Georgia Coach of the Year in 2011 by USA Swimming. Four times in 2002, 2004 , 2011,and 2012 Todd was named the Georgia High School Association’s Coach of the Year. Todd said that during his coaching career, he is most proud of the fact that more than 100 swimmers who have trained under him have received college scholarships. He is a four-time Georgia Coach of the Year and led the program to unprecedented success.Currently has over 300 wins in high school swimming. Charles has had numerous Olympic Trial qualifiers including a finalist and NCAA finalist,two Jr. National Champions, two current national records, many GA High School State Champions.

    ·          Over 100 swimmers have achieved scholarship’s under his direction


    Coach Charles Todd and his wife Cyndi have three children — Cara, Tyler and Chase. They reside in Dalton, Ga.
