Math

All Calhoun City School students reason mathematically in ever-changing real-world situations.

At CCS we strive to provide all students with a deeper understanding of mathematics and better prepare them for reasoning and thinking required in solving the more complicated problems we face in today's world. Providing students with hands-on interactive activities help to engage our students and help students to apply math skills in real-world situations. Don’t be surprised to find our elementary students solving real-world 3-act tasks involving a real, but extremely large box of Krispy Kreme Donuts to learn about multiplication and measurement, our middle school students experimenting with Beanie Baby bungee jumping to learn more about data and graphing, and even our high school math students dancing to learn more about angles and lines in geometry.
