Science

All Calhoun City Schools students are provided with hands-on experiences to empower students to question, explore, investigate, and communicate the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world.

At CCS we strive to provide ALL our students with opportunities for a deeper curiosity and understanding of science and better prepare them for reasoning and thinking required in tackling the more complicated scientific challenges we face in today's world.  Engaging students in hands-on investigations and experiences is just the first step. Teachers also strive to provide opportunities for students to collaborate, have deep discussions about science, and to make claims using evidence from the observations and data collected.
