Ms. Courtney Spaulding - School Psychologist
Meet Ms. Spaulding
My name is Courtney Spaulding and I am a school psychologist for Calhoun City Schools. I have had the great pleasure of working in education for the last five years in various roles, including serving as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher; however, this is my first year as a school psychologist. I worked in Hamilton County Schools for several years, and completed my school psychology practicum and internship in Whitfield County Schools. My family hails from Flint, Michigan; however, I graduated high school in Franklin, TN. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Education Specialist degree in School Psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, friends, and two ridiculous dogs. You may also find me at any given time reading just about any book I can get my hands on, indulging in Harry Potter marathons, or enjoying the many eclectic offerings of Chattanooga.
As a school psychologist for Calhoun City Schools, I work with students and staff across all grade levels. Much of my role involves assisting in the identification of students with disabilities, but I am also involved with supporting students in a variety of other settings, including serving as a member of Student Support Teams. I also serve as member of the CCS Behavioral Team, CCS Response to Intervention Team, and the CCS Vanguard.
