Week 1 & 2

The first few weeks of Jacket Jamboree featured exceptional opportunities for tactile learning opportunities, off-campus adventure, and old-fashioned summer fun. Campers said ALOHA to summer during week one, with a focus on beach activities, volleyball, and edible arts and crafts. As with most summers at Jacket Jamboree, smiles were a common sight! Building off of the momentum from the first week, campers charged into Nature Week. Campers hiked and explored, while also participating in an introductory kayaking session. After mornings jam-packed with excitement, campers were eager to dive into the pool in the afternoon. As with previous years, students built confidence and learned new skills during their time in the water. Looking ahead, many more weeks with student-centered learning and adventure await the campers. Calhoun Community Education would like to thank all community partners for their help in making this summer special for each child. We invite you to join us, as we seek to IGNITE a spark in exploration and learning.
