S.T.E.A.M. week never disappoints at Jacket Jamboree! Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math have been stressed across the state in the past decade, which has led Calhoun City Schools to provide numerous opportunities for campers both inside and outside of the school year and four walls of the classroom. This week, campers created slime and learned mechanical processes during arts and crafts. Campers also enjoyed dancing, participating in a scavenger hunt and playing an action-packed game of kickball. Campers traveled off campus to explore the Rock Garden, which is a local garden featuring stunning hand-made castles, building, and gardens. It has been featured in the AJC, on www.exploregeorgia.org, and through many local publications. Campers also escaped the heat with a trip to the Gem Theatre. Jason Hawkins and his band performed a variety of songs and treated the campers to a phenomenal performance. Thanks again to all the partners who made this week possible. It rocked!
