Director of School and Community Relations
Director of School and Community Relations, Kayla Ralston oversees system communications throughout Calhoun City Schools district, while managing Calhoun Schools social media platforms, website, mass communications, and other media outlets. Kayla also serves as the Community Education Director, overseeing the success of CCE programs that include: KEEP (after school care), Jacket Jamboree (holiday/school closure day camp), Athletic and CTAE summer camps, Driver's Education courses, Defensive Driving program, and Basketball/Tiny T-Ball Youth Leagues.
Prior to communications, Kayla served as the department head for grades 6-12 in health and physical education, and coached multiple sports at Calhoun High School. During this time, Kayla developed a love for graphic design and an interest in producing creative content to display student success, promoting CCS programs. She also managed multiple social media outlets for various programs throughout Calhoun Athletics. In addition, Kayla was heavily involved within our Community Education youth programs and camps, serving as lead coordinator. In 2019, Kayla ventured into the corporate realm, acting as a Client Manager and Sales Specialist, gaining experience to expand client-based relationships throughout multiple communities and segments. She succeeds in expanding programs by driving interest and increasing participation through publishing creative content, building relationships, and excels in engaging instructional techniques.
Kayla is a proud Calhoun High School alum, class of 2007. She received her B.S. in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Coaching from Kennesaw State University. While continuing to be a lifelong learner in the pursuit of excellence, Kayla completed her Digital Marketing certifications from Georgia Tech in February 2022.
