School Social Workers

The School Social Workers work in conjunction with your Counselors, Nurses, and Family Engagement Coordinators to assist students and families experiencing difficulties in a variety of areas.  The School Social Worker can offer direct services and assistance to school staff and families in crisis situations.  In addition, the SSW can provide aide to students experiencing homelessness and connect families with appropriate community resources.  The SSW monitors attendance and makes referrals to appropriate agencies when students have excessive absences.  The SSW acts as a liaison to connect resources between the home, school, and community.
