Free Sports Physicals

All student-athletes are required to have a sports physical on file to participate in any Calhoun Middle or Calhoun High School athletic activity. Typically, our athletic training partner, Associates in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (AOSM), provides free sports physicals to our student-athletes each year. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, AOSM will not be able to provide this free service to our student-athletes in preparation for the 2020-2021 school year.

Calhoun City Schools has remained committed to offering a free sports physical service to any student-athlete who would like one. We are pleased to announce that Calhoun City Schools will partner with Advent Health to offer free sports physicals to all Calhoun Middle and Calhoun High School student-athletes at our new health clinic located on campus at 101 Yellow Jacket Drive (next to the COLA building on the north end of the stadium). Physicals will be conducted by appointment during the first week of June (June 1 - June 5). To reserve your appointment for a free sports physical, please follow the directions below:

  • Visit the reservation calendar for the Calhoun Health Clinic at the link below while logged into your account:

  • Go to the week of June 1-5, 2020 and do the following:

    • Select the date and time of your desired appointment by clicking on the appointments listed (please only reserve one slot per middle or high school student).

    • In the box titled “What”, replace the text with the first and last name of the student participating in the physical.

    • Click “save”. This will save the appointment to your calendar and secure your spot on that date and time. Please also make a note for yourself of your scheduled date and time so you do not forget.

    • Complete the first two pages of the attached forms with parent signature and your name at the top of each page and bring them on the date and time of your physical. This will greatly expedite the process.

Student-athletes may use any health care provider they would like to obtain a completed sports physical; however, all student-athletes will be required to have a completed sports physical on file before they can participate in any athletic activity during the 2020-2021 school year.

Calhoun City Schools is hopeful that athletic activities will begin and operate on schedule for the 2020-2021 school year. We will continue to follow the guidelines set forth by Governor Brian Kemp and GHSA Executive Director Robin Hines. Information regarding tryouts and summer workouts will be released as soon as it is made available by state-level governing bodies. We would like to thank our coaches, families, and community for your flexibility and support during this time.
