Parking Information

The Calhoun City School Board allows students to use designated CHS student parking areas with the approval of the principal.  In order to use a parking space, students must have a CHS parking permit.  The permit must hang from the rearview mirror with information visible.  The permit is good only for the registered motor vehicle for which it is purchased.  All vehicles should be locked.  The school is not responsible for items stolen or any damage done to a vehicle while on school property.  

Parking permits are issued by the school. They may be denied and/or revoked.  In order to maintain a permit, students must remain in good standing with the school academically and behaviorally.  Additionally, students must maintain acceptable attendance free from excessive unexcused tardies, leave earlies and/or absences.    

All students registering for parking must bring the following items:

  1. Valid Driver's License
  2. Valid Auto Insurance Card
  3. Vehicle’s License Plate Number
  4. $60 Non-refundable check payable to CHS
  5. Completed Parking Permit Form
  6. Completed Drug Test Consent Form, signed by both Student and Guardian

CHS will be registering students for parking for the upcoming year in the Cafeteria on the following dates:

Thursday, July 25th
9:00 - 10:00 AM – Seniors with a 93+ GPA who have completed 2019-20 Student Registration
10:00 - 12:00 PM – All other Seniors

Friday, July 26th 
9:00 - 10:00 AM – Juniors with a 93+ GPA who have completed 2019-20 Student Registration
10:00 - 12:00 PM  – All other Juniors
1:00 - 2:00 PM – Sophomores with a 93+ GPA who have completed 2019-20 Student Registration
2:00 - 3:00 PM – All other Sophomores

**Student and parents are able to verify GPA via Parent Portal. 

Parking spaces will not be held for those students who do not have all the required materials.
