Tracy Farriba is the current Director of Physician and Community Outreach with AdventHealth Gordon and Murray counties. Through her outreach work with the hospital, Mrs. Farriba facilitates various information sessions during the school year for our students. Mrs. Farriba is very involved in the community through her affiliation with several civic and volunteer organizations. Mrs. Farriba is on the Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and serves on the Ambassador Committee for the Chamber. In addition, she is involved in child advocacy, Governance Team for Redbud Elementary, Student Services for the Murray School Systems, and part of the Gordon Prevention Initiative. Mrs. Farriba graduated from Calhoun High School and still supports her alma mater as the current majorette coach for the CHS Yellow Jacket Marching Band. Tracy is married to her husband Joe and they have one daughter, Kasey, who is also a proud CHS graduate.

Tracy Farriba

Dr. Joseph Joyave
Dr. Joyave is the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director for Gordon Physician Group, a part of the Adventist Health System. In his role he manages provider performance with a focus on patient experience, quality of care and safety. Dr. Joyave owned and operated his own pediatric clinic in Calhoun for twelve years prior to his current position. He is the father of four Calhoun High School graduates and has five grandchildren. He is married to his wife of three years, Sharon.

Kathy Johnson
Kathy Johnson is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce. In her role, Mrs. Johnson spends a lot of time fielding inquiries and communicating with potential retail and industrial prospects about the community’s business acumen. The chamber has a relationship approach to economic development and strives to offer a pro-business environment. They work diligently to keep the business community informed of our state and local business regulations, which have proven to assist companies in investing and expanding their footprint in Gordon county. The chamber also fosters relations with the education community, develops emerging leaders in our community through the Chamber’s Leadership Calhoun/Gordon County and Gordon County Youth Leadership programs, and provides opportunities for Young Business Professionals.

Dr. Heidi Popham
Dr. Heidi Popham was appointed as the President at Georgia Northwestern Technical College in 2019 and has worked for the college for more than 26 years. Dr. Popham began her career at the college when she was hired as an Executive Assistant to the President. Since then, she gained leadership experience having held positions as Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Executive Vice President. GNTC serves nine surrounding counties, including Gordon, and provides quality workforce education to the citizens of northwest Georgia. The CCCA works with GNTC as a partner school for our Dual Enrollment program, and our students have the ability to earn college credits and technical certificates as part of the courses we offer at CHS. Dr. Popham and her husband Kurt have two adult children and two grandchildren.

Johnathan Stone
Johnathan is the Vice President of Operations for HMTX Industries and local operator of Halstead International. Halstead is a leading manufacturer of LVT flooring and distributes their products across the globe. Johnathan is a proud supporter of Calhoun City Schools, where his children are students.

Laura Wood
Laura is a Senior Program Manager for Mohawk Industries, managing and operating all of Mohawk's Talent Management for their high school programs in various departments and manufacturing operations. Laura also started Mohawk's first official Work-Based Learning program, which creates jobs specifically for current high school students in order to gain valuable work experience while attending school. Laura is originally from Maryland, where her immediate family still resides. She enjoys a love for horseback riding and other outdoor activities!
