Computer Science and Web Development

Computer Science

Career, Technical and Agricultural Education’s Business and Computer Science program offers students the chance to learn about information management and computing, which involves programming.  Students will work with the latest technological tools and innovative curriculum in hands-on learning projects that include web page production and writing programming code to name a few. Students will also master standards pertaining to ethical and privacy issues related to computers, business, and the Internet. The Business and Computer Science program consists of three components: classroom/laboratory experiences, work-based learning opportunities that relate directly to classroom instruction, and the Career Technical Student Organization, Future Business Leaders of America, which provides co-curricular activities that build teamwork and leadership skills.

There are three levels you must complete to finish the pathway:

  1. Intro to Digital Technology

  2. Computer Science Principles or AP Computer Science Principles

  3. Game Design and/or Web Development

Students also have the option to take a fourth level: AP Computer Science A (Java).
