Principal's Message
Welcome to Calhoun Primary School!
My name is Mana Smith, and I’m honored to serve as the principal. Since Calhoun Primary first opened its doors in 2004, I’ve had the joy of serving in a variety of roles—classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and now principal since January 2020.
Calhoun Primary is a special place filled with passionate educators who are deeply committed to the success and well-being of every student. We proudly serve students in first through third grade and strive each day to spark curiosity, build strong foundations, and create a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
Our mission is to inspire students to become lifelong learners in the pursuit of excellence. We are focused on academic achievement, innovation in the classroom, school safety, and meaningful experiences that help students grow both academically and personally. We also place great emphasis on character development to help our students become kind, responsible citizens.
We believe that strong partnerships with families and the community are essential to our success.
