PreK Registration Information

PLEASE NOTE: CALHOUN PREK IS BASED ON A LOTTERY SYSTEM. Completing the below paperwork and registration information does not guarantee your child a spot.

 

The following steps must be completed to be entered

into the Pre-K Lottery:

STEP 1

Complete the following forms and return to the PreK Office. 

  1. Pre-K Application
  2. Solicitud de PreK 

There are three ways you may complete the above forms and submit your Calhoun PreK Application:

  1. Print the application, fill it out and turn it into the Pre-K office located at located at the Calhoun Early Learning Academy, 380 Barrett Road, Calhoun, GA 30701. Please make sure to bring all other required documents at this time. 

  2. Fill out the application online, print the forms and return it in person to the PreK office located at located at the Calhoun Early Learning Academy, 380 Barrett Road, Calhoun, GA 30701.  Please make sure to bring all other required documents at this time. 

  3. Fill out the application online, save the forms to your computer and submit them electronically to jonesa@calhounschools.org or mossk@calhounschools.org. Please make sure to also scan and send all of the required documents for your child’s application via email, as well.

STEP 2

All PreK Applications must include completed enrollment forms and COPIES of the following documents:

  1. Birth certificate (Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1st, 2023)
     

  2. Social Security Card

  3. Immunization Form (#3231) No other form will be accepted.

  4. EAR, EYE & DENTAl Form (#3300)

  5. Proof of Georgia Residency 

  6. Proof of ONE of the following if child receives services:
    TANF
    Medicaid
    Peachcare
    SSI
    Food Stamps
    Child and Parent Services (CAPS)

STEP 3

Click here to complete the Online Registration. Please make sure to choose the option "Pre-K" as the grade level when registering. 

 

Once your child is accepted into the Pre-K program, you will be notified via email or phone call. Please make sure this contact information is correct on the forms submitted. 

You will receive a letter in the mail after July 1st, 2023 letting you know which Pre-K classroom your child will be in.
