Welcome to the Black Bats Class               

Meet Mr. Jason:

Hello there .... I am so excited to be here at Calhoun Pre-K. I have worked for Calhoun City Schools for 28 years and I have been in teaching and administration for the last 20 years. My teaching experiences were in 4th and 5th Grade, but my administrative experience was in all grades Kdg-12th. I am so excited to partner with you this year to create a wonderful year of learning and fun for your child.

I am happily married to Candi Hawkins, another awesome teacher here at Calhoun PreK. We have been married since 2005 and have an incredible daughter, Bailey, who is a current 7th Grade student at Calhoun Middle School. When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, along with church activities at our home church, First Baptist. My other hobbies are everything related to Star Wars, Atlanta Braves baseball, Atlanta Falcons,Dallas Cowboys and UGA football, WWE and pro wrestling, Elvis, John Wayne, collecting old HESS toy trucks, listening to music, watching movies, reading and occasionally playing music with a group of friends in makeshift band known as the Accidental Rock Stars.

Class Intro:
I am so proud to be the teacher in the Black Bats classroom, affectionately know as the Batcave. We are going to learn a lot this year about a lot of different topics as well as our ABC's and 123's. I can't wait to learn about each one of my students as we discover new things together. I am going to work tirelessly to make each day the BEST day of the year at Calhoun PreK !!!

Education:

I obtained my degree in marketing from Dalton State College.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Shorter University.

I obtained my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University

Meet Ms. Leslie

Hi there! My name is Leslie Watters and I am so excited to be in the Black Bats room at the Calhoun Early Learning Academy. 

This is my 3rd year with Calhoun City Schools. My first 2 years were at Calhoun Middle School. 

I am married to Jake Watters, and we have been married for 9 years. We are in the process of adopting a little to complete the missing piece to our family. We have a mini schnauzer named Walker. I love UGA football and the Atlanta Braves. I enjoy spending tie with friends and family and doing church activities. 

Education: I have obtained my associates degree in early childhood education at Brenau University. 

I am currently enrolled at Gordon State College to obtain my bachelors in early childhood education.
