My name is Shawn Parr, and I want to welcome you to the Rainbow Fish classroom at Calhoun Pre-K!  I am excited that you are here!

I have lived in Gordon County my whole life.   I am married to Shane Parr.   We have two children, Rylie and Chapel.  Rylie is in 12th grade at CHS and Chapel is in 8th grade at Ashworth.   Both are very active in activities at school.   Rylie cheers on the Football Cheer, Competition Cheer, and Game Day Cheer Teams.   She is a member of the Beta and National Honor Society.   She works in our classroom each week as a part of her Work Base Learning class.  Chapel is on the Ashworth Football team, Wrestling team, and Baseball team.  I enjoy supporting my children and cheering them on!

I graduated from Gordon Central High School in 1993.   I received my Bachelor Degree from West Georgia College and my Masters Degree from Piedmont College.   I have an ESOL, Math and Reading Endorsement.

This is my 24rd year of teaching.    I taught at Max V. Tolbert Elementary in Gordon County for my first 10 years of teaching.   I have been at Calhoun Primary for 14 years.   I taught Pre K my first 2 years and  taught  in first grade for the past 20 years.   After many years in one grade level, I asked to teach in Pre K last year.   I am so excited to be here!

Hello, my name is Katelynn Johnson and I am so excited to be a Rainbow Fish! We are going to have a wonderful year!

I am the mother of a beautiful 3 year old little girl! Her name is Kenzleigh Holloman.

I was born and raised in Calhoun, GA. This is my 2nd year as an employee of  Calhoun City Schools. I attended Calhoun High School where I graduated in 2014. Before joining the staff at Calhoun City Schools I worked at Bee Kids Academy which is now Bright Futures here in Calhoun. During my time there I worked in every class from infant to 4 year olds. I learned so much from my experience there and also obtained my CDA certificate. I knew from the time I graduated high school that my overall goal was to become a teacher!!

I am so excited for this year and for the adventure ahead! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to another great school year! Go Jackets!
